The source material informing Dysfunctional Flowchart I & II is culled from construction, mining, industrial plant and landfill sites. Above ground artifacts such as plastic waste, open pipes, and water testing wells located at local urban sites allude to larger subterranean territories and systems. Lack of transparency creates a confused initial reading of these complex ecologies but it is through interpretation that I make meaning. As a byproduct of this process, spliced and reconfigured narratives emerge through sculptural stand-ins and speculations.
