REMEDIATION PROPOSAL (Simulation)
Through performative and contemplative gestures, Remediation Proposal involved repetitive acts of labor - quiet steady work generated and mobilized by hand and then activated by movement. Found or fabricated material was reconfigured and staged for personal and public contemplation.
This project employed mass-produced, handmade extruded, and unfired clay pipes and mobilized them through our team of artists/laborers. These forms gestured towards the fragment, towards the incomplete, not belonging in one place or another, not being one thing or another (not functional or consumable).
An accumulation of these mass-produced in-between objects reflected the encroaching necessity to pay attention, to halt a machine in its extrusion of things.
